How to reach Dehradun?
BY AIR :
Take a flight to Jolly Grant Airport Dehradun, Hire a cab to reach Dehradun City as the airport is 29 km away.
BY TRAIN :
The Dehradun railway station is located in the centre of the city which is well connected to all the major cities of the country.
BY ROAD :
Dehradun is easily accessible from major cities of the country as it has an excellent road connectivity with other major cities and towns of North India. There are state-run and private buses that offer a regular service.
We will start the drive from Haridwar Railway Station to Sari which is a small 7 beautiful village. Although it will be a long drive but definitely an enthralling one because we will drive through holy towns like Rishikesh, Dev Prayag, and Rudra Prayag. Night stay will be scheduled in the guest house.
Sari (6,600 ft) to Deoriatal (7,840 ft) and return; same day drive to Chopta.
After having the lip-smacking morning breakfast, we will start the morning trek for Deoria Tal which is considered as a high altitude lake. Do have a look at the reflection of Chaukhamba peak in its tranquil water because this is something you just cannot miss. Same day we will be also driving to Chopta.
Chopta (8,400 ft) to Chandrashilla (12,100 ft) via Tungnath (11,500 ft) and return to base camp chopta
Start your beautiful day by climbing the slopes of Chopta. From Chopta it will take only a few hours to reach Tungnath temple which is devoted to Lord Shiva and is more than 1000 years old. After this, we will be reaching to Chandrashilla peak from where you can have superlative views of different Himalayan peaks like Chaukhamba, Nanda Devi, and Trishul.
From here we will be returning back to base camp Chopta and stay.
Departure Day : Chopta to Dehradun
After having breakfast, we will drive back to Haridwar and between the route you will explore some amazing views. The trek ends here with some beautiful memories.
Chopta is the best hill station because its least crowded. Witness the untouched natural beauty of this verdant land.
It is excellent for birdwatching, different Himalayan species of birds can spot in this region.
Explore Deoria Tal, known as “Devariya Tal” it is pure because the Gods took a bath here.
The trail further leads to Tungnath and Chandrashila peak “Moon Rock.” Tungnath is the world’s highest temple of Lord Shiva.
Get astounding views of the entire Himalayan range and the macrocosmic sight of Chaukhamba peaks, Nanda Devi and Mt. Trishul.
