Environmental Policy

Mission Statement
Nature is our Home

Our goal is to conduct all our trips in a way that minimizes any harm or impact on nature. We educate our clients on respecting the environment and ensure they pass through it without leaving a trace.
Our mission is to continuously improve our environmental performance by protecting nature while maintaining a competitive advantage for our business.
India is home to many pristine and sensitive ecosystems, especially in the Himalayas. Often, the effects of climate change, seasonal variations, and human impact are not immediately visible. We aim for our guests to leave India more ecologically aware and appreciative of its natural beauty. We also hope that this appreciation extends beyond India to their homes and the world.

Leave No Trace Policy
We recognize that some regions, especially the Himalayas, are at risk of environmental damage due to high tourist activity. Therefore, we strictly adhere to minimizing over-crowding, which is essential to reduce the human footprint and allow nature to recover. We implement this through two key practices:

• Group Size Limit:
We limit all groups to a maximum of 15 participants. This reduces the volume of waste and helps us manage it effectively.

• Seasonal Limit on Treks: We restrict the total number of participants to 250 per trek per season. Although this may not make short-term economic sense, it ensures the long-term survival of these landscapes. This is our commitment to sustainable tourism.

Staff Responsibilities
Our entire staff follows these eco-friendly principles:

• Leave No Waste Behind
We ensure that all waste is removed from the areas we operate in. “We carry out what we carry in.” Our staff also cleans up any trash found, even if it wasn’t from our tour.

• Proper Waste Disposal:
We recycle all applicable materials and ensure waste is disposed of responsibly, both during the trek and at our facilities.

• Client Awareness:
Clients are educated on the Leave No Trace policy, ensuring they understand how to minimize their impact on the environment.

• No Natural Souvenirs:
We discourage anyone from taking natural souvenirs (such as stones or plants), allowing them to leave only with photographs and memories.

• Stay on Marked Trails:
We instruct all participants to stick to marked paths and trails to minimize environmental damage.

• Waterways Protection:
We ensure that no contaminants, such as soap or waste, enter natural waterways.

• Campsite Etiquette:
Our campsites and resting areas are left in as good a condition, if not better, than when we arrived.

Sustainable Operations
We run our operations using eco-friendly, sustainable energy sources, including solar and wind power, ensuring minimal environmental impact in our day-to-day activities.
This refined version makes your policy clearer and more actionable, focusing on practical steps and highlighting your commitment to sustainability.
